These and many other questions are best answered through the invention of a specific INTRAnet. They are part and parcel of that definition process. To give a bit of flavor to the process, I sketch below a few attributes which COULD be created:
A bundle of advising support tools which can be used by individual advisers but shared when appropriate between advisers.
A document sharing tool to permit groups to work simultaneously on a single document.
A portrait and biography file created by each individual, and updated as appropriate. Voluntary, of course.
Calendars, schedules and scheduling tools.
Maps, guides, images.
Communications tools: text, voice, video.
Publicity materials.
etc.
